The award covers travel arrangements, academic supplies allowance, monthly stipend, travel ticket, tuition fees, health insurance, hostel accommodation costs, and freight costs. Candidates must be UAE passport holders, obtain required scores in language tests (IELTS Academic: 6.0, TOEFEL iBT: 80, TOEFL PBT: 550, TOEFL CBT: 213), and pass the personal interview.

Apart from government sponsored financial assistance, various specified awards are also offered to UAE students.

Arab Council of Social Sciences Postdoctoral Fellowships

This award of worth $36,000 (132,231 AED) is provided by Arab Council of Social Sciences to pursue Postdoctoral programme. The fellowship continues for 9 months, and the applicants must have attained a doctorate degree when they apply.

Buhooth Scholarships for Master and Doctorate Programme

Khalifa University provides the prestigious Buhooth Scholarship Awards for Master and Doctorate programmes not only at Khalifa University but also at various international universities. The competition is higher for International Buhooth award. This scholarship covers payment of all the tuition fees.

Middle East Merit Scholarship

University of Sheffield, UK provides the financial assistance of up to 50% of annual tuition fee for UAE students enrolling in its undergraduate, Master, and research degree programs.

CAS-TWAS President’s Postgraduate Fellowship

The World Academy of Science in partnership with Chinese Academy of Science provides fellowship programs to UAE nationals for Postgraduate programs in Chinese universities.
