Official School Transcripts

Official transcripts are a compulsory requirement for the application for Hult International Business School. Only the transcript of your high school diploma or XII standard result is needed. Attach any certifications or transcripts to your application if you want to add them. A good score in your transcripts will display your dedication to education and your consistency in learning. Your academics will, hence, be a deciding factor in your acceptance. Not only that, the courses you have taken in high school can also influence your acceptance. Therefore, ensure that you have scored good grades in business-related courses.  Lastly, since the school has around 90% international students, all the transcripts submitted cannot be in English. If your high school transcript is in a language other than English, translate it into English.  Please note that you must not do the translation. Request the school administration for a formal and official translation of the transcript. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

English Language Test

English language test will be required from you if:
  1. You are not a first-language speaker of English
  2. You have not used English as a medium of instruction for more than two years.
If you do not fit in both categories, then you can submit one of the three English language proficiency tests:
  • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
  • IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
  • DET (Duolingo English Test)
A good score on the English language test can work in your favour. Due to the large number of international students at Hult International Business School, students are expected to communicate with each other in a shared language, i.e., English.  Students with good English language proficiency can communicate with their peers and teachers. However, the material provided for learning can also be difficult for the students to comprehend.

Standardised Test

The standardised tests required for a Bachelor’s degree are the SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) and ACT (American College Testing). However, note that these tests are optional. If you want to add your scores, there is no restriction. Nevertheless, adding the ACT and SATs can compromise your chances of acceptance if you have not scored well. Good scores on the SAT and ACT can leave a good impression on the admission committee. The SAT scores reflect your previous knowledge and how well you have learned. Contrary to that, the ACT scores represent your potential and readiness for a course.    Below are the academic criteria for a Bachelor’s at Hult International Business School.
Hult International Business School
Average Academic Criteria for Undergraduate
IB IELTS TOEFL PTE SAT ACT

Potential Referee

You must add a potential referee's contact details to your application during admission. The referee can be your teacher or counsellor. The Hult International Business School admission committee can contact the referee to get more insight into you.  The second opinion given by the referee will hold a lot of importance. Hence, be wise when deciding on your referee. Furthermore, ensure you have informed your referee beforehand about adding them to your application.  Lastly, note that your referee should have all the information they might need for your reference letter, also known as a letter of recommendation. The information you need to provide your referee is:
  • Your achievements
  • Your good qualities
  • Your unique features
  • Your ethics and work values

Personal Statement or Video

Your Hult International Business School application requires a personal statement or a video. If you decide to write a personal statement, it should be 400-500 words. Likewise, if you add a video to your application, ensure it is 2-5 minutes long. Your personal statement or video will include:

  • What you plan to do for your future, both academically and career-wise.
  • Some recent business problems or research that has captured your interest.
  • Your extracurriculars that relate to the business course and your interests.

Scholarship/Financial Aid Application

Once you have submitted your application, you can start your scholarship or financial aid application. You can either apply for need-based scholarships or merit-based scholarships. Go to the Hult International Business School portal for need-based scholarships and complete the “Declaration of Finance” section. This section will determine your eligibility for a financial need scholarship; hence, it is advised that you be honest. Students with very poor financial condition will be awarded the scholarship.  For merit-based scholarships, you will need to add:
  • Documents that showcase your academic achievements
  • Degree certificates alongside your course name and school
