University of Pennsylvania

About University

UPenn dates its founding to 1740, when a plan emerged to build a Philadelphia charity school that would double as a house of worship. Today, this charity school is a private Ivy League research university. UPenn proudly holds the title of one of nine colonial colleges of British North America. The institute aimed to train the future leaders in academia, commerce and public service for an Independent America. Since the day UPenn started its academic activities, it has had one maxim: “Well done is better than well said.”

At Penn, student life is filled with opportunities to delve into various interests and passions through a wide range of social, political, religious, and cultural activities. The campus features cultural centers and distinctive museums that underscore the significance of the arts in student life. Key destinations include the Annenberg Centre for the Performing Arts, the Arthur Ross Gallery, and the Institute of Contemporary Art, all easily accessible to Penn students.

During the duration of an admission counselling project, a counsellor or counsellee may have a conflict. To highlight said conflict, both parties can issue a “revolt” via an email to CounsellingX. In case of a revolt from either side, the project proceedings will immediately stop. CounsellingX’s dedicated team will be assigned to resolve the conflict or establish a settlement between both parties. In case the counsellee doesn’t want to continue with the counsellor or vice versa, the CounsellingX team will do a thorough review of the work already done by the counsellor. Based on that review, a certain percentage of the instalment’s amount will be disbursed to the counsellor’s account. Note that the decision of this percentage is taken solely by CounsellingX.

Now the counsellee can continue with CounsellingX in two ways. The counsellee can either choose a different counsellor or leave the CounsellingX platform. In the first case, the amount of the instalment left after the percentage deduction will be shifted to the new project with the new counsellor on CounsellingX. In the second case, the counsellee will get a refund of up to 90% of the instalment’s amount after the previous counsellor’s percentage deduction.
